Ever since I have known Shuntoo, I have been repeatedly surprised by the depths to which he can sink. So, for a long time now, I have believed that the son of a bitch is capable of anything. There’s nothing he would not do, and there may be nothing he cannot do. So, when I found a bundle of typed pages in his drawer, I was not surprised in the least. Shuntoo, a writer……why not?
The story he wrote is typical Shuntoo. He never cares to think of others’ feelings and has no remorse at all at pointing out the ugliest aspects of others’ lives and their perspectives. So I could not imagine him being any different when treating Bill, a character that he himself created and so could play God too. Nevertheless, the story intrigued me. I started reading out of curiosity and couldn’t stop because in a sick sort of way, I was enjoying it.
Bill is an ordinary guy whose life story sucks (what else do you expect when the poor guy has Shuntoo for a creator). It is a simple story of a man who just does not know how to take his destiny in his own hands and instead spends his life reacting to whatever goes on in his life. And whenever he starts to have the faintest notions that something good is going to happen, his fate farts (metaphorically speaking of course). He has a confused perspective on almost everything, his relationship with his father, his take on girls and sex, his morality, everything.
The story deserves to be told for a number of reasons. One, it would genuinely make some readers feel good that they are not Bill. It always helps to know that there are people worse off than you, even if they are just a figment of some lunatic’s screwed up imagination. Two, I believe there is a Bill inside all of us, an unsure, confused guy who is fed up with his life continuously throwing the most ridiculous of situations at his face, a boy who wants to be good but also wants good thing to happen to him and is frustrated by all the farts his fate keeps coming up with. Three, despite Shuntoo’s obvious flaws, as I always say, you have to admit that he is an honest son of a bitch. So, between the lines in the story, he does point out certain serious absurdities in our society and if a couple of people notice those and do something about it, the story might just end up doing some good. And finally, wouldn’t it be lovely if people realized what an asshole Shuntoo is after reading this story. I mean when you are omnipotent for a character, you should have decency to do at least some little good thing to him.

I loved the concept …. well done..
waiting is always too bad , anyhow waiting anxiously for it to come
Oooooo! I am anxiously waiting for this one. Good luck to Shuntoo, though I hardly believe he cares. =P
